CGS Executive Board will be having its yearly elections during the annual members meeting on Wednesday, 9/26/18 at 7pm at Pine Grove Methodist Church (1580 Central Ave.).
ALL positions (<- Click here) are open to be filled. ALL positions are a one-year term. (Starting October 1st through Sept. 30th)
Colonie Girls Softball League is a not for profit organization and run completely by volunteers, as such, YOUR contribution as a voting member and possibly as an executive board member is EXTREMELY valuable!
QAULIFICATION required to be an executive board member: You have a player who is playing or has played on a CGS League team.
Without adequate volunteers to fill the essential executive board member positions the league will be forced to fold. It would be very sad for our daughters and our community overall to lose this wonderful opportunity for our youth to experience.
Please join us in service to our community’s youth by becoming involved as an executive board member. Come and have a voice and a vote that will count toward enriching our daughters and their softball experience. You won't be disappointed by the gratification you will have observing these young players grow in their skills & achievements on and off the fields. You can be part of the change and an integral part of what happens this season as we revitalize the sport of softball in our community that you've wanted to see happening.
Again, please keep in mind this is a volunteer organization. We have a strong need for willing minds, hearts and hands to give a little of their time and effort to provide a strong sense of community within our league and on our softball fields. One that can be felt by all who enter our ball park, players, parents, friends, family, passersby. Let's get going on showing our town what it's residents are capable of when we come together to volunteer in an organization that focuses on our youth and the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty & courage.
We urge you to strongly consider joining our board! You can see the description of each board member position and job responsibilities attached. And just remember, you’re not going to be alone in this endeavor. You will have a group of dedicated members at your side through each step of the way. Many of us can say, we have experienced firsthand what the lack of support at home, school, or work can look and feel like, we also know to be true that many hands make light work. The same thing can be said for CGS League.
Please join us Wednesday, 9/26/18 at 7pm at Pine Grove Methodist Church (in the McIntyre Room) for the annual members meeting and executive board election night.
And if all of the above hasn't struck a chord with you we aren't above bribery! So, with that in mind, light refreshments will be served.
Thank you for your continued support!
Winter Clinics will be starting Monday, February 5th and will be every Monday from 6:30-8:30pm and will be held at Saddlewood Elementary school.
